General Payment System FAQs

How do I access the Payment System?

If you have already filed an initial claim, you can access the Payment System by logging into ArkNet with your SSN and PIN number. If you have never filed a claim, you will have the option to access the Payment System after filing your claim through the Local Office Arkansas Claims system, LOARC.

When is the Payment System available?

The Payment System is available Monday – Friday from 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 12:01 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.



Debit Card FAQs

How do I sign up for a Debit Card?

Unemployment Insurance claimants will be automatically enrolled in the Debit Card program once they become eligible to receive their first unemployment insurance benefit payment. No further action is necessary.

Can I change my current payment option from Debit Card to Direct Deposit?

Yes. At any time, you may change your payment option from Debit Card to Direct Deposit by enrolling in Direct Deposit on the Payment System web site. 

What if I do not sign up for a payment option?

Unemployment Insurance claimants will be automatically enrolled in the Debit Card program once they become eligible to receive their first unemployment insurance benefit payment. If you would prefer that your unemployment insurance benefits are paid via Direct Deposit you must enroll on the Payment System web site. 

Can I request a second card for another individual such as a family member?

No. Only the person receiving payments on the card will receive a card.

When the debit card is sent in the mail, what does the envelope look like?

For security reasons, the card will arrive in a plain, white, windowed envelope with an Indianapolis, Indiana (IN) return address.

What fees are associated with this card?

When you receive your card, you will receive a list of fees that apply to the card.
They include:

  • A $1.50 fee for each ATM transaction from non-U.S. Bank ATMs or non-MoneyPass ATMs. Non-U.S. Bank or non-MoneyPass ATM owners may assess their own fee for each transaction.
  • A $2.00 fee per month if the account is inactive for 365 consecutive days. The fee is charged each month until the account becomes active again or until the balance reaches $0.
  • No fee for standard card replacement and your card will arrive in 3-5 business days via standard U.S. mail. Expedited card replacement is $13.00, and the card will arrive in 2 business days via UPS.

How do I check my balance for free?

  • Consult the monthly statement mailed to your home
  • Access your account online 24 hours a day at www.usbankreliacard.com
  • Call the automated customer service number on the back of your card.

Can DWS view or track my individual transactions?

No. For privacy reasons, U.S. Bank does not share card account numbers or transaction details. However, for reconciliation purposes, DWS does have access to the amount and date of deposits to individual cards.

Do I have to go to a U.S. Bank ATM or U.S. Bank branch to get cash?

No. You can obtain cash from over one million Visa/PLUS or Money Pass ATMs worldwide, or over the counter at any bank or credit union that accepts Visa. You can also get cash back on purchases made at Interlink merchants, such as grocery and discount stores.    Note:  To identify an Interlink merchant, simply match the Interlink logo on the back of the card to the logo displayed on the merchant’s door or at the checkout counter. There are fees associated with using non-U.S. Bank or non-MoneyPass ATMs.

When using an ATM to withdraw funds, which selection (checking, savings or credit card) do I choose?

You should select “checking” when making a withdrawal at an ATM.

Will I be able to add other funds to my card, in addition to what Arkansas DWS puts on it?

No. Only DWS can deposit funds to the card.

Will I receive a monthly statement in the mail?

Yes. You may also view your current transaction history and past statement online at no cost at www.usbankreliacard.com. To ensure that your monthly statement is sent to the correct address, please contact ReliaCard Visa customer service at 855-254-9208 to report an address change. Also, please contact your local Department of Workforce Services office to report an address change so that any correspondence concerning your claim will be sent to the correct address. Please note that changing your ReliaCard address does not change your address with Arkansas Department of Workforce Services.

Can I view my account online?

Yes. View your account activity online at www.usbankreliacard.com, a secure web site.

Can I contact my local bank for customer service on my ReliaCard Visa account?

No. You must direct all of your ReliaCard Visa questions to the toll-free customer service line 855-254-9208. You may also utilize the web site, www.usbankreliacard.com, for inquiries.

Who do I contact if I have questions about my card?

  • For all questions about the card, contact ReliaCard Visa customer service 24 hours a day, toll-free at 855-254-9208.  This number is on the back of the card.
  • For questions about your claim for unemployment insurance benefits, please contact your local DWS office.


Direct Deposit FAQs

What is Direct Deposit?

Direct Deposit is the electronic transfer of your weekly unemployment insurance benefit payment into your checking or savings account at your bank, credit union or savings and loan.

How do I enroll?

Enroll in Direct Deposit on the Payment System web site. 

What if there are changes to my Direct Deposit bank account information?

DWS will transmit your payment to the financial institution and account of record as provided by you. It is your responsibility to return to the Payment System website and reenroll with correct banking information. Changes include changing financial institutions, changing accounts within the same institution, or closing accounts. If you make any of these changes to your bank account without notifying DWS, your payments will be delayed and you may be enrolled in the Debit Card program.

Must my financial institution be located in Arkansas?

No.

Can I have my payments deposited into my savings account?

Yes.

Can part of my weekly UI payment be deposited in one account and the remainder deposited into another account?

No.

What if I want to change to Debit Card?

If you no longer want to receive your unemployment benefit payment by Direct Deposit, return to the website and enroll in Debit Card. You will be issued a Debit Card (if you do not already have one) and future payments will be applied to the card.

Who do I contact if I have questions about Direct Deposit?

  • You will need to contact your bank with any questions involving amounts deposited to your account.
  • For questions about your claim for unemployment insurance benefits, please contact your local DWS office.
